I love the Reynold's Vacuum Sealer. I was devastated when they discontinued it along with the bags. I was quite pleased when I discovered that Ziplock was manufacturing bags that worked with it. Now Ziplock had discontinued their bags.:( I use my sealer and bags several times a week, mostly for freezer storage. Yes I've had some seal failures, but overall the unit works well. To save the bags and keep the interior's clean. I try to pre freeze the food items and then use a cutoff plastic bag as an interior liner, cutting it short enough so as to not to interfere with the closing lock. This way the interior of the bag stays clean and easily reusable. When the seal finally wears out, I can use the bag one last time with my heat sealer. I've rarely had the bag valve fail! I hope Ziplock or someone else makes these bags again.

The easiest vacuum storage ever. No electricity required. Keeps raw chicken and fish for up to a week without any spoilage, then cook it pop it into the freezer. Use it to keep lettuce and other leaf vegetables fresh for at least a week. Allows vegetble keeper in refrigerator to store more because they don't require as much space with the air gone. Cost of bags paid for if you save almost anything from spoiling. No hassle hand pump a joy to use.

I tried to use these for storing home dehydrated foods.
After trying 9 bags, all but one has lost its vacuum.
I was willing to forgive two overloaded bags and one with smaller particles (dried spinach) that may have interfered with the product. I followed instructions meticulously on the last 3 bags, and all failed. The only one of 9 that has kept its seal is about 1/3 full. These bags might be an acceptable short term solution, but if you're trying to seal with some longevity, you're better off buying zip-seal freezer bags and sucking the air out with a straw. And I'm not kidding.

I buy in bulk and these are useful for freezing or storing in refridgerator. They have a different texture than the others, but otherwise work just a good.

These bags work great for getting an airtight seal around your meats! Also work well for freezing your own baby food! Some of the bags seem to leak once in a while, but most will reseal and hold afterwards! The pump system is great for getting a small appliance off your counter

I was very excited about this product at first..... until I pumped and pumped and PUMPED the same bag and it lost pressure. About one in ten bags holds for more than one day in the freezer. We don't use them any more, as it's a good bet the seal won't last. Even double bagging didn't help.
